Heartful Home Build: Affordable Homeownership + Abundant Community Hub

At Heartful Rootz, we're cultivating permanent affordable housing through 3-9 tiny starter homes on King County community land trust property. These owner-occupied primary residences offer flexible terms—long-term equity building or a safe home base for travel, learning, and growth, empowering residents to save, explore the world, and invest in their futures.

We prioritize Black and Indigenous foster youth aging out, women, trans individuals with kids, pet owners (especially restricted breeds), and other BIPGM/LGBTQIATS+ folks who've never had this chance—directly addressing wealth disparities through asset ownership and life expansion.

This thriving sanctuary blends housing stability with community vitality:

  • Tiny Homes: Owned by residents on shared land trust (no mortgages for some, flexible payments for others)
  • Revenue-Generating Spaces: Greenhouse, community kitchen, herbal garden hosting events, entrepreneurship workshops, healing retreats, nonprofit partnerships
  • Animal Sanctuary: Pet-inclusive housing evolving into therapeutic rescue programs
  • Wellness Foundation: Herbal classes, rest circles, food forest, youth cohorts, culturally responsive financial coaching

Community-supported abundance: Membership, retreat fees, and workshop revenue creates financial strength for homeowners and Heartful Rootz, funding operations while building reciprocal relationships.

Membership fuels our vision: Access gatherings, entrepreneurship training, land opening events, and waitlist priority for homeownership. Together, we tend homes, gardens, animals—and futures—for residents, community, and generations ahead.
