About Us

Our goals

YEAR ONE (2021) Our goal is to provide safe and connective environment for BIPGM hand makers to gather together and sell our art.

YEAR TWO (2022) Our goals are to improve our resources and knowledge sharing to provide a boost for us as creative entrepreneurs. This will involve in person one on one meetings to help assess business plans and goals. In the works towards the Cultural Arts, Health and Education Center this year will be dedicated to having one on one meetings to find out everyone's needs, wants and desires so that we can plan as a community and not in the mindset of scarcity. Planning for the end of year fundraising and next year's specialized curated events to make sure there's a sustainable plan ahead.

YEAR THREE (2023) We plan to get a commercial rental space as a collective of BIPGMl handmakers. Creating a Cultural art, health and education center. We plan to hold after school creative entrepreneur classes for native foster youth in Seattle and surrounding areas. We would love funding to support our artists/teachers & organizers while giving free access to youth.  Being able to have full time access to a creative cultural care center is needed and we will spend this year working towards fundraising. Our vision is to create safe space for consistent BIPGM Makers pop-ups, classes, healing ceremonies, plant growing, herb sharing, workshop share with art tools. With fundraising we will be able to offer sponsorship to provide funding for our time making the videos and the creatives for teaching. We plan for these videos to be accessible to all, especially those starting up. Planning workshop videos for creative entrepreneurs to make it accessible for all. Another part of video projects is to share stories of BIPGM artists, what calls them to their work and how people can show appreciation and not appropriation. Our in person classes will be provided to BIPGM foster youth and adults who want to learn creative and entrepreneurship skills. We will also individually teach art classes to the public for income. We hope to get more partnership and sponsorship to supply financial support to both parties in these programs.

YEAR FOUR (2025) Our goals are to continue our markets, classes, workshop videos and growth towards connective and healing spaces. While growing a network of shared spaces with the community. Growing goods and sharing them with a community built restaurant that invites you harvest your own herbs and ingredients to feed your body for health and not just taste. Café type space that invites drinks being made by herbalists and connects to earth and our seasons. As well as creating safe lodging for traveling BIPGM artists to visit.

YEAR FIVE (2025) Our goal is to have a connective way for folks to take turns coming to live on the connective community space. Learn, grow and take these learnings to other lands to share.

Our mission

We are Heartful Rootz, an accessible, inclusive BIPGM-led market community centered on the conscious overcoming of injustice, unity and evolution. We have a commitment to providing radically progressive support for makers, farmers, artists, staff and volunteers who seek to co-conspire with our pursuit of collective liberation.

In opposition to the status quo, we acknowledge that our deepest act of love for one another begins with the HEART; the part of ourselves that yearns to uproot the effects of colonialism and imperialism to return to our roots as care-holders and stewards of this earth.

We are committed to authentically connecting with our communities, providing safe, affirming and supportive networks that will bring growth, renewal and revival. Starting with the Seattle metro area, we seek to expand these efforts throughout Washington state and continue this mission on the west coast.
